Getting Caught Up

We have had a great couple of months!

Easter weekend was wonderful. Saturday, we had a fantastic Easter Egg hunt at the Pierce's with their family and the Lindhjems, Rheutans, and Davises.

Sunday we got to celebrate on the Boulevard and at the Monument Avenue parade. Look at these cousins checking each other out!

The weekend after Easter Tim came for a visit, and then the following weekend, Dennis and I went to New York to visit his mom. We got to hang out with Mikayla and Keala on Saturday,  who trooped it with me and the baby over to Brooklyn to visit Autumn and her girls. Sunday, we got to see the rest of the family and then stopped in for a quick hello with Orna and Andrew and got to meet little Erez.

The following weekend was Eleanor's baptism. I have asked Jane to send me some good pics from the event. We snapped this one of Mary Frances after lunch.

The first week of May brought Thomas the Train to Baltimore. We loved having everyone with us for the big event!

We followed it up with a trip to the swings.

Next it was off to Florida -- I had a conference in Orlando. We loved having Grandmary with us, and also had a visit from Gil, Michelle, Alyssa and Natalie.

For my first Mother's Day, we went to Downtown Disney for the day.

I was one happy Mama!!

This weekend we got to relax at home. We went to a fun pool party at Joyce's last night :)

Looking forward to all the summer adventures!

What a busy month!

March was busy! Lots of time at work but we had some fun too!

We got to hang out in Canton square on St. Patrick's Day with Sandra and Wilson -- very cute in green!

This weekend we had our friends Nick and Robyn visiting from  Chicago with their daughter Cadence. I will post more pics when I have them. We did lots of fun Baltimore stuff: Little Italy, the Aquarium, the zoo, and music class. We can't wait to head west to visit them!

Catching up

We have had so many adventures over the past few weeks!

Mary Frances is eating very well and is now 16 lbs. Here is a blueberry beard!

We went to Richmond last weekend and had a great time. Saturday, Dennis and I went to the VCU-George Mason game, and then to Alison's benefit for the Children's Museum of Richmond, which was a lot of fun.

Sunday we some time for a photo shoot:

Little miss looks quite wary of her cousin!

She also got to hang with baby Gil -- she hadn't seen him since the day after he was born. They are both too cute!

We have also gotten to visit with both my cousins and their families recently. We saw Tristan and Carese a couple of weeks ago in DC. Driving in DC is so miserable that we now take the Metro when we want to head into town.

This weekend Neil and Janne brought Annika to Baltimore for a visit. Grandmary was also here, and we had a blast! Annika loved the baby, the dogs (Chico managed to sneak into this picture!), and watching Barney with Grandmary. We all enjoyed the Baltimore Children's Museum yesterday and Miss Shirley's for breakfast this morning.

Puerto Rico

Unfortunately, Dennis' father Obdulio died Wednesday, February 1. Dennis traveled back to Puerto Rico Thursday morning, and Mary Frances and I joined him Sunday. Dennis' mother, his brothers Jose and Leby, along with their wives Jenny and Irene and their children had arrived Saturday. We all had the chance to remember Obdulio (Yuyo) over 2 days of services attended by many family members and friends.

Here are some scenes from our trip.

This is the view from Dennis' aunt's backyard in Camuy. This is the area where Dennis' father grew up and where he was living before his death.

On Tuesday, we traveled to Naranjito, south of Bayamon, to visit Lety's family. Lety grew up in Naranjito and many of her brothers and sisters still live there with their families.

We will miss Yuyo and we are glad that he and Mary Frances met at her baptism in October.

Charleston

Autumn and I had planned to visit Emily in Charleston for Fourth of July weekend when Mary Frances arrived early! So this weekend we got geared up to travel to Charleston. Dennis and I went to the airport together but Dennis traveled to Puerto Rico to visit his father who is ill.

We had a fantastic time in Charleston. Emily picked us up at the airport Thursday night, and we had a great time exploring downtown Friday afternoon. Friday night Emily cooked a fabulous dinner for us. Saturday we spent the day preparing for Emily's son Johnny's First Birthday party! It was great to meet the Charleston crew and it was a great party.

We hated to leave today.

Long Weekend

We had a great weekend with a fun visit from G-mary. Mary Frances is getting so big and can sit up well in her high chair.

Saturday night G-mary babysat and Dennis and I managed to stay out until 2 in the morning -- so fun! Sunday was a much quieter day but we did get to visit Tristan and Carese, and we loved seeing Camyrn, Carson, and Chloe -- Chloe is a month older than Mary Frances and the two of them are so cute together!
